Mathematics
Our intention at Greenfield Academy in maths, is to develop our students’ mathematical foundations to support their students understanding of the world. Our curriculum is designed to help students build their confidence in mathematics by developing their mathematical reasoning and curiosity.
The curriculum is coherently planned so that each topic builds on top of one another, enabling our students to make links across topics, develop their mathematical understanding and their problem-solving skills. Throughout our curriculum we have maximised the opportunities for students retrieve and practice their knowledge, to make connections with maths outside the classroom and to address misconceptions.
