Compliments & Complaints
Compliments are always welcomed and greatly received and can be passed on either directly to staff and SENDCo or formally recorded via our regular questionnaires to parents/carers, or through reviews of SEN / EHC Plans.
We are always seeking to improve on the quality of education we provide for children with SEND and are keen to hear from parents/carers about their child’s experience. We would also like your views about the content of our SEND Information Report.
Any complaints will be dealt with as quickly and efficiently as possible. Complaints concerning any aspects of Greenfield Academy SEND Policy should be addressed to the SENDCo in the first instance. If you are not satisfied with a decision or with what is happening for your child’s Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities, please follow the Trust complaints procedure.
The school SENDCo can be contacted as follows:
Mrs L. Lumsdon
l.lumsdon@greenfieldacademy.org.uk
School Telephone number: 01325 300 378
The Complaints Policy can be found in the Policies and Procedures section of our website.
If the concern is directly related to an EHCP this will be managed directly by the Durham Statutory Casework Team. Parents/carers will be contacted directly by the team to receive information about the mediation services and other action parents/carers may consider.
The Special Educational Needs and Disability Information, Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS) – also provides independent information and advice to parents/carers to help resolve differences. The service also provides confidential, impartial support and advice for parents, carers, children and young people up to the age of 25 in relation to special educational needs and disability. They can be contacted on:
