Governance
Here at Greenfield Academy our governing body is known as an Academy Council. It is made up of volunteers from a variety of backgrounds and includes parents and staff from our school along with the head of school who also sits on the Governing body. Its role is to provide strategic leadership and monitoring of activities in school. They work closely with the Senior Leadership Team within school to ensure that the culture and ethos of our school are followed, and we are providing an excellent standard of education and pastoral care.
Our governors are all linked to a different area within school for monitoring purposes. There are 3 Academy Council meetings a year, one per term and in addition Governors will be visiting school to check in with activities that fall within their specific area of monitoring. These areas are roughly aligned to the areas of assessment set by Ofsted.
Our Governors and their monitoring areas are listed below but if you feel that you have a skill set that would be helpful to our school and most importantly are invested in wanting to see Greenfield Academy thrive then please contact the school and someone will be in touch.
