Our Ethos

Every child is unique and every child matters. At Greenfield Academy we want to know what makes each child unique and special. We believe in a strong pastoral system to support each child. Every child will see their form tutor every morning and afternoon; this tutor will take care of the pastoral development of your child. In addition, each year group has a highly skilled and dedicated non-teaching pastoral leader who can support your child when their tutor is teaching. As well as this, we have a teaching member of staff leading each year group. This team will get to know every child and be with them throughout their journey at Greenfield Academy.

Every Child

Every lesson, every interaction, every plan all lead to opportunities. There is a wealth of opportunities at Greenfield Academy. From a broad and balanced curriculum to a range of extra-curricular activities such as dance, whole school productions and sporting events. Secondary school life is exciting with its facilities and subject expertise, and this is harnessed at every opportunity.

Every day, every child has every opportunity to develop, grow and learn. Our caring approach and commitment to inclusive education in all aspects supports each child every day to be the best they can be, and all of this done with pride, ambition and kindness.

Every Day

At Greenfield we aim to demonstrate pride, ambition and kindness in all that we do. We base our adult and child interactions on these values. We have pride in our appearance, our work, our learning environment and our children and staff. We are ambitious for all, and have the highest expectations of behaviour, progress and achievement of everyone within the academy. Above all, we set out to achieve all of this by being kind to ourselves and one another and developing a true cohesive learning community.
